Senior Application Programmer Analyst
General Position Summary:
Leads projects in design, implementing new systems by working with users, management and operations by gathering information about a project, deciding on proper solutions, and alternatives to best complete a given task.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for batch/online, web, .NET programming & file definition using current shop standards.
This position will act as an Analyst in starting, designing and implementing new systems by working with users, management and operations by gathering information about a project, deciding on proper solutions and alternatives to best complete a given task.
The Senior Application Programmer Analyst will lead projects and supervise Application Programmers/Analysts and Vendor/Consultants in completing these projects by preparing coding specifications and technical solutions.
The Senior Application Programmer Analyst will assist in ongoing training of Application Programmer Trainee, Application Programmer I, Application Programmer II, and Application Programmer Analysts.
Participates in new technology training of Internet, .NET, ASP.NET, C#, XMS, VB.NET, Visual Basic, MS/SQL, Java education and Visual SourceSafe.
Responsible for all phases of a project from the beginning of a problem to project definition, beta testing, to implementing the system using System Analyst for support.
Will be assigned various application areas for programming support.
Review performance of associates.
Researches system problems, prepares project proposal in terms of cost, time, equipment and personnel.
Responsible for off hours application support.
Communicates directly with vendors and consultants on specific areas.
Responsible for writing technical documents.
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
BS Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or three years experience in Application Development, ASP.NET, C#, XML, VB.NET., HTTP, TCP, MS SQL 2000. Cobol/CICS a plus.
